As an 8 year old kid, I'd plop myself outside the park with this dinky table, crossing my fingers for anyone who wasn't my mom or dad to swing by. Time felt like it was crawling, ya know? Heart pounding, I sat there, hoping, wishing for that first real customer to show up. But, like, nobody came. Still, I wasn't about to give up. I was determined, you know? It was like, "Okay, fine, challenge accepted!" and suddenly, I was this mini entrepreneur, ready to take on the world!
At my first kids' business fair, I was so nervous, like my stomach was doing backflips and stuff. But, guess what? I had my crew, my friends turned business partners, by my side, and they were like superheroes calming me down and helping set up our booth. It was kinda scary at first, but with them there, it turned into this awesome adventure where we rocked our little corner of the fair!
So, at my next fair, things were a bit different. Some of my business partners, aka my ride-or-die friends, couldn't make it this time. It was kinda sad 'cause we had such a blast together before. But, you know what? New faces showed up. At first, all I did was make these cool beaded jewelry pieces, you know, like bracelets and stuff. But then one day, I decided to try making some rings with resin. TBH, I was kinda nervous at first 'cause I wasn't sure if I'd be any good at it. But guess what? All my resin rings sold out super quick! So, I was like, "Hey, maybe I'm onto something here," and I started making more resin stuff, and now I totally love it! It's like my new favorite thing to do!
So, I had this lightbulb moment, like, I don't really need a partner to rock this business thing. It was kinda freeing, you know? As I ventured further into crafting jewelry, I started experimenting with resin—a fascinating process of creating unique pieces. Despite this new exploration, my love for crafting beaded jewelry remained steadfast. Thus, my collection now showcases a blend of both resin and traditional beadwork, representing the evolving journey of Gia's Gems.
So, at my latest fair, I invited some fam to come check out my booth, you know, to show off my hustle! But then I had this big idea - why keep hustling at kids' fairs when I could take my biz online? So, I started working on this super cool website to sell my stuff, 'cause, let's face it, I'm getting too old for the kiddie fairs anyway. It's like leveling up in the business world! Now, with my website, anyone, anywhere can check out my stuff and buy it, no matter if they live near or far. It's like having my own little shop that's open 24/7!
